Fred's In The Paper!
Remember the little clay chimps Mollie made a while back? She entered them in an art contest using clay as a medium sponsored by the local newspaper. A couple of days after submission, we received a call from the paper asking to send out a photographer to take pictures of Mollie and her now famous chimps. We waited for weeks and had almost lost hope of ever seeing them in print. This morning we opened the paper to see Mollie's silly little grin holding her cheeky monkeys. She didn't win the overall contest or the 100 bucks in prize money that she was aiming for but she did get her picture in the paper, which is way cool. She was edged out by a rather questionable turtle. Hmmm, perhaps I'm a bit biased. I posted a link to the page on the newspaper's website. Take a look and judge for yourself.

Mollie's Monkeys Ruled!!!
Fred's a winner in my book no matter what the competition!
For years and I say years I have tried to get my son to do something with polymer clay. He's an arttsy fartsy type and prefers that brown sticky yucky clay. After he saw mollie's monkeys I could see his wheels turning. So Mollie you did something I could not do. You are inspiration to us all!!!!
No how, no way did that turtle beat Mollie's monkeys! I'd protest....or at the very least, do what Mollie did with the red marker!
Love you all,
Aunt Kay
