El Anniversario

Frank and I celebrated 16 years of near wedded bliss Friday. We went out for a casual, yet outstanding dinner at Lotus of Siam, my new favorite place in the whole wide world! The food was incredible!! The menu was endless. I mean you need a good 20 minutes just to take it all in before you even consider selecting something to eat. If you plan on visiting Vegas and want to dine out with the Deckers, you better get to likin' yourself some Thai because we WILL be eating there! Ok, enough about that...after dinner we met up with some old friends who were in town from Chicago. We haven't seen these guys in so many years so this was quite a treat. We had a fabulous time just catching up and remembering old times. It was a shame that I had to work so early the next morning and we had to leave before we were really finished enjoying ourselves. I couldn't have asked for a better night out. No fancy restaurant or spendy show tickets could have pleased me more than this simple, perfect evening.


This place doesn't look like much but I can't express to you enough how phenomenal the food was.

The best Tom Yum Koon EVAH! I gulped up a bunch of that chili oil in the first slurp and almost choked to death. Mean endorphin rush!
